Merry Christmas! I pray today will be a great day for everyone. I also hope you will take a moment to reflect upon the real meaning of Christmas. Take time today to think about the eternal blessing and most wonderful gift ever given to mankind. To think that the God of this universe gave his only begotten Son so that sinful man could be saved from their sin and have their fellowship with God restored. What an amazing thought!
Jesus came to be a substitutionary sacrifice. He came to live a perfect sinless life to fulfill the law that we could not do. Jesus came to shed His innocent blood on the cross of Calvary. Then, His resurrection from the grave and His ascension to heaven to be our intercessor. All these things were part of His earthly ministry and His earthly ministry all started that day in the little city of Bethlehem. That is why we take time to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord for the gift of His Son.
I would also like to thank everyone for all the calls and cards since my surgery. We appreciate everyone for your love and concern. I know the Lord will bless you for your kindness and generosity.
As far as the surgery goes, I am recovering very well. I am able to get up and walk for 15 to 20 minutes at a time now. I am sleeping most of the night and the pain is manageable. I have my first follow up appointment next Wednesday, December 31. I will let you know how that turns out.
Again, thanks for everything. I am so blessed to have such a loving church family.
Merry Christmas, I pray the Lord blesses you and your family.
